Competition Manager

SportSocial are curators of Auckland’s favourite action-packed social sports competitions, leagues and tournaments. We have over 10,000 weekly participants playing across our Social Sports Competitions.

NitroNetball are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and sport-loving individuals to join our competition management team. This is a great opportunity to either gain an entry into the sports industry or for someone who loves sport and wants to supplement their earnings with a part-time role. Your role as Competition Manager will involve:

• Creating relationships with players and teams
• Creating a good enjoyable atmosphere at the venue
• Managing and providing feedback to Match Officials
• Dealing with conflict in a calm and professional manner
• Delivering & reporting all aspects of the competition in a professional manner

Full training and on-going support will be provided and all-in-all, we are looking for someone that is professional, reliable and enjoys being involved in the sports environment.

 

Hours

The role is casual with one to four evenings per week (i.e. Mon-Thurs) with most evening sessions starting around 4pm. Total hours per week 5-20.

Experience in sport or events is preferred, but not compulsory.

Our leagues are growing! With more teams than ever to accommodate, we need to grow our team of umpires to keep our awesome netball competitions running smoothly. Whether you’re thinking of being an umpire for the first time, or have been qualified for years, we’d like to hear from you!

As an umpire, you’re not just a whistle-blower, you represent the entire brand of our company which directly influences our customers every time they play, so your impact goes beyond the match itself! The way you organise a match, interact with teams, handle difficult situations and explain your decisions – it all affects our customers’ overall experience.

We’re looking for referees to officiate at our two venues, Epsom Girls Grammar (Tuesdays) and Auckland Girls Grammar (Thursdays).
